The European project AI4ProSa, led by AIJU and co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, continues to make progress towards its goal of enhancing the skills of professionals and future professionals in relation to the new product safety requirements in the European Union. The project focuses on the development of an assistant based on generative artificial intelligence to support training in this area.
On June 3rd, 4th and 5th, the University of Alicante hosted the event “AI for Product Safety and VET” within the framework of the project, which brought together experts in artificial intelligence, product safety, AI ethics and legal aspects, and vocational education and training. During the meeting, topics discussed included the impact of AI and emerging technologies on vocational training, the ethical aspects of using AI in the AI4ProSa assistant, and product safety in the context of the new European legal framework. The discussions also addressed how AI is affecting the consumer products industry, especially SMEs, and the benefits and challenges it poses for businesses.
This multisectoral exchange will have a direct impact on improving the quality of the project’s results while enhancing internal collaboration within the project. The conclusions of the event will soon be available on the project’s website: www.ai4prosa.eu.
In addition, in line with the project’s sustainability policies to reduce environmental impact, on June 3rd, the second transnational meeting of the AI4ProSa consortium was held, during which technical progress was reviewed and next steps for the project were defined. These will focus on validating the first version of the AI4PROSA assistant for training in consumer product safety with real users in Spain, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
