Success for AI4ProSa First Pilot Tests: Generative AI Assistant proves its worth

The beta version of our Generative AI tutor has successfully completed its real-world validation phase. Following intensive sessions in Spain, Germany, and the Czech Republic, both students and professionals have confirmed the tool’s effectiveness in helping them master the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).

During this stage, the learning experience focused on a vital module: the legal responsibilities and obligations of economic operators, including manufacturers, importers, and distributors.

Evaluation and results across three countries

The project has reached a strategic milestone by validating the tool within Vocational Education and Training (VET) centres and professional workplaces. Each pilot was supervised by experts and assessed across three fundamental areas:

  • Tutor Feedback: Evaluating pedagogical alignment and instructional quality.
  • Knowledge Assessment: Measuring the actual learning outcomes and regulatory understanding of the students.
  • User Experience (UX): Ensuring an intuitive and seamless interaction with the AI interface.

Thanks to the data gathered, the beta version has already been refined and enhanced, incorporating specific recommendations from participants across all three partner countries.

A Guide to the Ethical Use of AI

To complement the assistant, the consortium is developing the guide: “Product Safety Training with Generative AI: A Guided Approach”. This open-access resource will empower users in three essential areas:

  1. Critical Analysis: Evaluating AI-generated responses for accuracy.
  2. Informed Decision-Making: Using AI as a support tool for sound professional judgement.
  3. Safe and Ethical Use: Ensuring responsible interaction with AI technology.

Next Steps: Moving towards Version 0.9

Following these positive results, the project is moving into the validation of Version 0.9. This next phase will involve at least 45 experts and users from the partner countries.

This update will introduce new learning sequences specifically tailored for SME employees, VET students, and trainers, ensuring the training remains robust, practical, and perfectly aligned with the evolving needs of the European market.
